Man sought who has been 'flashing' girls

The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office is looking for a serial flasher who has been committing lewd acts in front of high school age girls, possibly for the past three years.

Investigators said they have at least 10 victims they can link to the same man, and they want any additional victims to step forward. In each case, the man flashes the girls on school property.

The man has struck mostly at Cottonwood, Jordan and Skyline high schools. The most recent case was in early June, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputy Peggy Faulkner.

"We're concerned that when these kinds of incidents continue, sometimes, not always, but sometimes they escalate to actual sexual assaults," she said.

The lewdness incidents have happened at different times of the day on different parts of the school grounds.

The only description detectives are releasing is a middle-aged man with a mustache.

Others who may have been confronted by this man should call Sgt. Frank Ziebert at 743-5827.
